Resolution approving a modification to Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee’s Employee Handbook
Analysis
Body
WHEREAS, the employee handbook of the Housing Authority City of Milwaukee (HACM) is a living document which requires periodic review and modification to ensure it is accurate, organized and complies with federal, state and local laws; and
WHEREAS, the employee handbook is required to emulate applicable language as set forth in the Bylaws of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, in particular; sections related to appointment of the Secretary-Executive Director (ED) and delegation of authority or succession in the event of the ED’s temporary unavailability;
WHEREAS, in accordance to the rules above the proposed changes will reflect the language put forth in the amended Bylaws
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that the modifications to HACM’s employee handbook are hereby approved; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary-Executive Director authorize the appropriate staff to take all action necessary to present the new employee handbook to all current and future staff.
