Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2023 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Health Department (Community Health Division; Environmental Health Division; Policy, Innovation & Engagement Division), Library, Police Department

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Library, Branch Library Services Decision Unit, Auxiliary Positions”, add three positions of “Temporary Librarian III”, add two positions of “Temporary Library Reference Assistant”, add three positions of “Temporary Library Circulation Services Representative”, and add two positions of “Temporary Library Services Manager”.

 

Under “Central Library Decision Unit, Auxiliary Positions”, add three positions of “Temporary Librarian III”, add two positions of “Temporary Library Reference Assistant”, add three positions of “Temporary Library Circulation Services Representative”, and add one position of “Temporary Library Services Manager”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2023 - December 25, 2022):

 

Under “Police Department, Facilities Services Section”, add one position of “Municipal Services Electrician”, add one position of “Painter”, and add three positions of “City Laborer”.

 

Under “Forensics”, add thirty-two positions of “Crime Scene Investigator II”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2023 - April 16, 2023):

 

Under “Health Department, Environmental Health Division, Emergency Response Preparation”, add two positions of “Public Health Emergency Response Planning Coordinator (A)(X)(Y)”.

 

Under “Environmental Quality Assessment”, delete two positions of “Environmental & Disease Control Specialist (X)(A)” and delete the section title of “Environmental Quality Assessment”.

 

Under “Consumer Environmental Health”, delete three positions of “Consumer Environmental Health Supervisor (X)(Y)”, add three positions of “Consumer Environmental Health Manager (X)(Y)”, delete five positions of “Environmental Health Coordinator (X)(Y)”, add five positions of “Consumer Environmental Health Coordinator (X)(Y)”, delete seventeen positions of “Environmental Health Specialist (X)” and add seventeen positions of “Consumer Environmental Health Inspector 4 (X)”.

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 220651 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 10, 2023 - April 30, 2023):

 

Under “Health Department, Community Health Division, Maternal & Child Health”, delete four positions of “Doula (X)” and add four positions of “Doula 3 (X)”.

 

Under “Policy, Innovation & Engagement Division”, add one position of “Workforce Development Administrator”, add one position of “Research and Policy Coordinator”, and add one position of “Community Outreach Specialist”.

 

Part 5.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2023 (December 25, 2022).

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 9, 2023 (April 16, 2023).

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 10, 2023 (April 30, 2023).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 9.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
