Analysis
This resolution authorizes settlement of claims raised by the complainant, Norma Lewis, in the two ERD charges entitled Norma Lewis v. City of Milwaukee, ERD Case No. CR202100380, cross-filed with EEOC Case No. 26G202100358C; and ERD Case No. CR202201626, cross-filed with EEOC Case No. 26G202201025, for the total amount of $8,000.00; and

Whereas, Complainant, Norma Lewis filed an ERD charge against the City of Milwaukee, ERD Case No. CR202100382, cross-filed with EEOC Case No. 26G202100358C; and ERD Case No. CR202201626, cross-filed with EEOC Case No. 26G202201025; and
Whereas, Norma Lewis and the City of Milwaukee have entered into an agreement to settle the claims raised by her in the above-referenced matters for the total amount of $8,000.00; and
Whereas, the City Attorney recommends that the City of Milwaukee settle these matter; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue the following City checks totaling $8,000.00 payable as follows: $4,800.00 made out to “Norma Lewis”, 108 Griffith Ct., Waukesha, WI 53188, and $3,200.00 made out to “Walcheske & Luzi, LLC Client Trust Account”, 235 N. Executive Drive, Suite 240, Brookfield, WI 53005, as soon as practicable, in full and final settlement of these ERD cases and the cross-filed EEOC cases, to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 636505, Fund No. 0001, Organization No. 1490, Program No. 2632, Sub Class No. S118; and be it
