Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2022 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Department of City Development, Election Commission, Department of Emergency Communications, Employes’ Retirement System, Fire and Police Commission, Fire Department, Library, Department of Neighborhood Services, Department of Public Works (Administrative Services Division; Infrastructure Services Division; Operations Division - Administration, Fleet, Sanitation Section; Water Works), Police Department, Port Milwaukee

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210760 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 1GX, delete the title of “Building Code Court Administrator (2) (20)”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 210760 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 2022 - July 24, 2022):

 

Under Pay Range 1BX, add footnote designations “(4) (8)” to the title of “Building Maintenance Supervisor II”, add new footnotes “(4)” and “(8)” to read as follows, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly:

Under Pay range 1LX, add the title of “Election Commission - Executive Director (1) (3) (4) (6)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 210760 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 2IX, delete the title of “Emergency Communications Buisness Intelligence Analyst (1) (4) (11) (14)” and add the title of “Emergency Communications Business Intelligence Analyst (1) (4) (11) (14)”.

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 210760 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2022 - July 10, 2022):

 

Under Pay Range 2FX, add the title of “Emergency Communications Human Resources Analyst - Senior (4) (5) (9) (10)”.

 

Part 5.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 210760 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 2022 - July 24, 2022):

 

Under Pay Range 2DN, add footnote designations “(15) (34)” to the title of “Safety Specialist (14) (33)” and add the title of “Election Services Coordinator (15) (16) (34) (35)”.

Under Pay Range 3BN, add new footnotes “(2)” and “(4)” to read as follows, renumber remaining footnotes accordingly, and add footnote designations “(3)” and “(4)” to the title of “Sanitation Inspector (1) (2)”:

 

“(2)                       Employees will receive an additional 5% when performing special assignments.”

 

“(4)                       Employees will receive an additional 5% when performing special assignments.”

 

Under Pay Range 3SN, add new footnotes “(2)” and “(4)” to read as follows, renumber remaining footnotes accordingly, and add footnote designations “(2)” and “(4)” to the title of “Facilities Control Specialist’:

Under Pay Range 5EN, add new footnotes “(6)” and “(12)” to read as follows, renumber remaining footnotes accordingly, and add footnote designations “(6)” and “(12)” to the title of “Program Assistant I”:

Under Pay Range 7CN, add the title of “Maintenance Assistant”.

 

Under Pay Range 7NN, amend footnotes “(1)” and “(5)” to read the following:

 

“(1)                      Recruitment is at:

Under Pay Range 7ON, delete footnote designations “(3) (8) (17) (22)” from and add footnote designations “(2) (15)” to the title of “HVAC Maintenance Technician - Senior (3) (8) (17) (22)”, delete footnotes “(3)” and “(17)” in their entirety, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly.

 

Under Pay Range 7RN, add footnote designations “(2)” and “(4)” to the titles of “Water Plant Steamfitter (1) (3)” and “Water Plant Steamfitter-HVACR Mechanic (1) (3)”.

 

Part 10.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 11.  The provisions of Parts 4 and 7 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 2022 (July 10, 2022).

 

Part 12.  The provisions of Parts 2, 5, 6, 8, and 9 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 2022 (July 24, 2022).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 13.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
