Title
Resolution amending grant funding authorized in CCFN 210840 and adding a grant­ funded position to the 2022 Positions Ordinance for the State of Wisconsin 2021-22 Comprehensive Home Visiting grant.

Analysis
Amends the Positions Ordinance to reflect funding for Health Department positions funded by the State of Wisconsin's Comprehensive Home Visiting grant, made by the Department of Children and Families. The Home Visiting grant provides matched funding for pre-natal home visiting and other parent support programs, including Empowering Families of Milwaukee and Direct Assistance to Dads. One position will be removed from project funding, with no significant impact to the City and State shares of funding under the grant as authorized.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 210840 authorized the Health Department to accept grant funding for the 2021-22 Comprehensive Home Visiting Program from the Wisconsin Department of Children & Families; and

Whereas, the Health Department with the support of the Department of Children and Families has adjusted staffing and responsibilities for positions in the department including positions partly funded by this grant; and

Whereas, these changes will better position the Health Department to manage and deliver programs under the Horne Visiting grant as well in public health planning and data management; therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2022 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 210761, should be amended as follows:
