Analysis
This ordinance amends the fee for filing of a late renewal application for a scale license from $53 to $49 to make the fee increase in 2010 consistent with similar fees.
The ordinance provides 2 additional fees relating to scanning devices which will be licensed for the first time beginning in 2010. The first additional fee is $49 for filing a late application for a scanning device license. The second additional fee is $10 for a duplicate scanning device license.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 60-91-3-b of the code, as amended by file number 090259, effective January 1, 2010, is amended to read:
60-91. Weighing and Measuring Device Licenses.
3. SCALES.
b. The fee for the filing of a late renewal application [[is $53]]>>shall be $49<<.
Part 2. Section 60-91-4-c and d of the code is created to read:
4. SCANNING DEVICES.
c. The fee for the filing of a late renewal application is $49.
d. The fee for a duplicate scanning device license is $10.
Part 3. This ordinance takes effect March 1, 2010.
