Analysis
This resolution authorizes a revised lease agreement which replaces the previously approved lease agreement between the City and PCs for People for placement of Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) antennas at 1313 W. Reservoir Avenue (Fire Station 5) and 2903 N. Teutonia Avenue (Fire Station 30) to allow PCs for People to access building power systems.

Body
Whereas, Common Council file number 210695 approved a site lease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and PCs for People relating to establishing fixed wireless internet hubs at 1313 W. Reservoir Avenue (Fire Station 5) and 2903 N. Teutonia Avenue (Fire Station 30) and the sharing of internet connectivity at these locations; and

Whereas, Prior to execution of the lease agreement and during system design related to the approved lease, the City of Milwaukee and PCs for People jointly determined that establishing an additional power meter for tracking and billing of power use made the project no longer cost-feasible; and

Whereas, the revised agreement allows PCs for People to access building power systems and enables the City of Milwaukee to obtain fixed wireless internet service from PCs for People at no charge through the installation at these facilities; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are authorized to execute a revised lease agreement between the City and PCs for People in substantially the same form as the agreement attached to this file; and be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officers are authorized to share dark fiber and to provide network connectivity and telecommunications services at no cost to the City of Milwau...
