Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $185,000 with the total cost estimated to be $390,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
4th Aldermanic District
Alley between W. McKinley Ave.(ext’d), W. Vliet St., N. 20th St., and N. 21st St. (ST214220101) New alley. (Nonassessable Developer Paving Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $50,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.
5th Aldermanic District
W. Good Hope Rd -- N. 107th St. to N. 124th St. (SM499200015) File Number 201065: Bioswales. (Stormwater Quality -- Non-Assessable Water Quality Projects to meet TMDL Requirements, additional funds, $10,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $160,000. The project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.
City Wide
2022 Speed Hump Projects (ST211220200) Engineering and signage installation for speed humps. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $150,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $150,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.
City of Greenfield
W. Loomis Rd. - S. 43rd St. to W. Layton Ave. (WT410220003): Hydrant alterations. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $1,000. Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $14,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $30,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
