Analysis
This substitute resolution amends Common Council File # 201683 authorizing the Health Department to accept and fund the 2020-2022 COVID 19 Pilot Funding Program from the State of Wisconsin-Department of Health Services. The purpose of the grant is support the work of local COVID-19 community testing efforts in community-based settings, outbreak-based settings, and high-risk congregate settings. The funding will support expenses resulting from specimen collection and results communication.

BODY
Whereas, Common Council File # 201683 authorizes the Health Department accept and fund the 2020-2021 COVID 19 Pilot Funding Program from the State of Wisconsin-Department of Health Services for the purpose of supporting the work of local COVID-19 community testing efforts in community-based settings, outbreak-based settings, and high-risk congregate settings. This grant provided for a grantor share total of $4,580,000 with no city match; and

Whereas, the grantor share for this program is increases by $2,015,095; and the total cost is increased by $2,015,095; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that acceptance of this grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
