Body
Whereas, An application was submitted by Derrick Martin on December 23, 2021; and
Whereas, The street section originally requested already has an honorary street name and the Department of Public Works worked with the applicant to locate another appropriate street section; and
Whereas, The application was reviewed by the Department of Public Works and all related costs have been paid; and
Whereas, The Citizen Advisory Committee on the Naming of Public Buildings, Facilities and Streets met on February 17, 2022 and voted four ayes and two excused to recommend approval of this honorary naming; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that assigning the honorary street name “Bezelee Martin" to North Vel R. Phillips Avenue from West Garfield Avenue to West Meinecke Avenue is approved.
