Resolution to approve the Submission by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee to the Department of Housing and Urban Development of a Demolition/Disposition Application for the Sale of Vacant Land at 6001 West Silver Spring Avenue at Market Value

Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) owns and manages more than 4,000 units of low-rent public housing under the terms of an Annual Contributions Contract with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and
WHEREAS, HUD allows Public Housing Authorities to submit Demolition/Disposition applications to dispose of all or part of public housing structures and land in excess of what is needed to operation efficiently;
WHEREAS, the Secretary-Executive Director recommends approving the submission by the Housing Authority of the Demolition/Disposition application to remove the .532 acres of vacant land; and, therefore, let it be
RESOLVED, that the recommendation to submit the Demolition/Disposition application to sell 6001 West Silver Spring Avenue is hereby accepted; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary-Executive Director is hereby authorized to take whatever action is necessary to complete the submission of the Demolition/Disposition application .523 acres of vacant land and have said property removed from its inventory.
