Title
Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $2,287,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $15,096,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $2,287,000 with the total cost estimated to be $15,096,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
N. Hopkins St. - 70’ +/- south of W. Rohr Ave. (ext) to W. Custer Ave. (SM495210111) Relaying storm sewer. Storm sewer lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $147,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.
3rd Aldermanic District
N. Shepard Ave. - E. Newport Ave. to E. Edgewood Ave. (SM495210119) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $265,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.

6th Street Cable-Stayed Bridges over the Menomonee River (BR100220105): In Depth Inspection of Cable-Stayed Bridges. (City Share Non-assessable Structure Fund - $300,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $300,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.

N. 1st St. - E./W. Meinecke Ave. to E./W. Wright St. (SM495210112) - Combined sewer relay and lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $483,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2022 construction season.

Administration cost for street paving engineering (ST211210001) File Number 201065: (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $200,000, additional funds). The total 2021 budget for the street resurface/reconstruction program is $6,750,000. These funds are to cover administration cost until 2022 funding is available.

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
