Resolution approving the adoption of temporary policy waivers as allowed under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) authorized to waive or establish alternative requirements for statutory and regulatory requirements for the Public Housing Program and Housing Choice Voucher Program via the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act waivers Notice PIH 2020-05 on April 10, 2020 and subsequent published waiver notices; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) reviewed the policies and developed temporary policy changes as deemed appropriate in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, HACM has posted these policy changes on its website and communicated the changes to residents and participants as practicable; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that they hereby approve the adoption of the temporary waivers as allowed under the CARES Act and that the Secretary-Executive Director is hereby approved to authorize the appropriate staff to take any and all actions necessary and that any acts previously performed, relative to this matter, be and hereby are approved and confirmed in all respects.
