This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the 2022 Family Planning Grant project from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in the amount of $267,033 grantor share with no city match. The purpose of the project is provide comprehensive women’s health family planning services to men and women throughout the year at the Keenan and Southside Health Centers.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services for comprehensive health family planning services; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 01/01/2022 to 12/31/2022 would cost $267,033 grantor share with no city match; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2022 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects fund the following amounts for the program titled 2022 Family Planning Grant:

2. Create the necessary Special Revenue Fund - Grant and Aid Project/Grant and Project level values; budget to these Project/Grant Values the amount required under the grant agreement; and, be it
Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted to the Health Department which is authorized to:
1. Expend from the amount budgeted sums for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date; and
2. Expend from the 2022 grant budget funds for training and out-of-town travel by departmental staff; and
3. Expend from the 2022 grant budget funds for specific items of equipment; and
4. Enter into subcontracts and leases as detailed in the grant budget; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2022 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 210761, should be amended as follows:
