Analysis

This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute State/Municipal Agreements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the construction of STH 181from South of County Line to Mequon Road; North Sherman Boulevard 7 Local Intersections; North Sherman Boulevard 6 Local Intersections; and West Villard Avenue Intersections with 60^th Street and with 51^st Street. 

Body

Whereas, Project agreements have been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the construction of STH 181 from South of County Line to Mequon Road; North Sherman Boulevard 7 Local Intersections; North Sherman Boulevard 6 Local Intersections; and West Villard Avenue Intersections with 60^th Street and with 51^st Street, with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program and Highway Safety Improvement Program; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute the agreements for the programming, design, and construction of the aforementioned connecting highway project with Federal and/or State aid, copies of which are attached to Common Council Resolution File Number _________, and are incorporated into this resolution by reference as though set forth in full; and, be it
