Whereas, the City of Milwaukee has obligations to refund property taxes based on changes made by the Board of Review and settlements from litigation, and
Whereas, the total amount for claims and settlements to be paid by January 31, 2021 exceeds the amount budgeted for this purpose in 2021; therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that an amount of $1,200,000 be appropriated from the 2021 Common Council Contingent Fund (#0001-9990-C001-006300) (2021) and placed within the Special Purpose Account, Remission of Taxes (#0001-9990-S163-006300) (2021) and the proceeds used to meet obligations to be paid by January 31, 2021; and be it
Further resolved, that the Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish the necessary accounts and accounting procedures to carry out the intent of this resolution.
