Analysis
This resolution authorizes amending the Land Disposition Report for the Edison Middle School in the 1st Aldermanic District.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee (“Common Council”) approved Common Council File No. 200599 on October 13, 2020 for the sale of the former Edison Middle School at 5372 North 37th Street (“Property”) to Gorman & Company, LLC(“Buyer”); and
Whereas, Buyer has experienced unforeseeable delays and needs to amend the Land Disposition Report (“LDR”); and
Whereas, The Department of City Development (“DCD”) has reviewed Buyer’s progress to date, their reasons for delays and their request to amend the LDR; and
Whereas, DCD recommends approval of these changes to the LDR; and
Whereas, An amended LDR is attached to this file; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the amended LDR attached to this file, is approved and City representatives, including DCD Commissioner or designee, are authorized to take such further steps as may be necessary to effectuate this resolution.
