Analysis

Currently, the fire chief and police chief may each name a designee to serve on the city information management committee.  This designee must be in the rank of captain or above.  This ordinance allows the designee to alternatively be a civilian in salary grade 10 or above.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 320-31-1-i and j of the code is amended to read:

320-31. City Information Management Committee.

1.  COMPOSITION.

i. The fire chief or his or her designee who shall be >>in salary grade 10 or above, or<< a captain or above.

j. The police chief or his or her designee who shall be >>in salary grade 10 or above, or<< a captain or above.
