Title
Substitute resolution establishing the 2022 Street Lighting Fee.
Analysis
In accordance with s. 309-54 of the Code of Ordinances, this resolution establishes the 2022 Street Lighting Cost Recovery Special Charge at $1.00 per foot of street frontage, the same rate as 2021. For residential property owners with multiple street frontage (corner lots), the City will use the shortest side to calculate the charge. For non-residential property owners, the City will use total street frontage.

Whereas, Section 309-54 of the Code of Ordinances establishes a Street Lighting Cost Recovery Special Charge as authorized by s. 66.0627, Wis. Stats.; and
Whereas, Section 309-54 of the Code requires adoption of a resolution on an annual basis that establishes the street lighting cost recovery special charge; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the 2022 annual street lighting cost recovery special charge, to be billed on a yearly basis, is established as follows:
1. Residential property: $1.00 per foot of street frontage. For residential property (one-, 2-, 3-, and 4-family dwelling units) with multiple street frontage (corner lots), the shortest side shall be used for billing purposes.
2. Nonresidential property: $1.00 per foot of total street frontage.
