Analysis

The code currently provides that the city engineer may grant a waiver from storm water management plan requirements for a particular development if the development is not likely to:

a.  Increase the rate or volume of storm water runoff.

c.  Contribute to the degradation of water quality.

d.  Otherwise impair attainment of the objectives of the city’s storm water management regulations.

This ordinance adds the requirement that the development for which the waiver is requested must be primarily a storm water reduction or green infrastructure project.
