Substitute resolution relating to various legislative bills.

Analysis

This resolution expresses the Common Council’s position on various legislative bills.

Body

Whereas, The Judiciary and Legislation Committee of the Common Council has recommended the following positions on the bills hereinafter listed and the Common Council being advised of said matters; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it hereby approves the

following legislative bills and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees to support such bills and use its best endeavors to have the same enacted into law, viz:

--- AB-350

Extreme risk protection temporary restraining orders and injunctions and providing a penalty.

--- LRB-2484/1

Eligibility for appointment as a law enforcement or correctional officer.

--- LRB-3350/1

Penalties for operating a motor vehicle without a license or after license suspension or

revocation and providing a penalty.

--- LRB-2474 Fleeing an officer and providing a penalty.

--- AB-436 Requiring an employer to provide reasonable break time and accommodations for an employee who is breastfeeding the employee's child to express breast milk for the child.

--- SB-439 Declaring discriminatory restrictions in instruments that affect real property void and unenforceable and allowing an owner of real property to discharge and release such a discriminatory restriction.
