Analysis
This resolution authorizes an easement for below and above ground electrical equipment on a City-owned property.
Body
Whereas, Wisconsin Electric Power Company, doing business as We Energies (“WE”), is requesting a permanent easement (“Easement”)on the City-owned property at 447 North Water Street; and
Whereas, The 12-foot wide, 19-foot long Easement that will connect two transformers thereby facilitating upgraded service for new development in the area; and
Whereas, A copy of the Easement and related map is attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, We Energies agrees to pay $3,000 for the easement; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development (“DCD”) and Department of Public Works reviewed the proposed documents in consultation with the City Attorney’s Office; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Easement with Wisconsin Electric Power Company at the City-owned property at 447 North Water Street is approved and the Commissioner of DCD, or designee, is authorized to execute the Easement and other documents necessary to grant the Easement and to take such further acts as are or may be necessary to effectuate this resolution.
