Whereas, On March 19, 2021, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 201573, relating to the Amended and Restated Cooperation, Contribution, and Redevelopment Agreement as well as personal guaranties for the redevelopment of the property at 900 East Michigan Street for the Couture Project; and
Whereas, The third “Further Resolved” clause requires special counsel to submit his or her findings to the Common Council, Mayor, and the City Attorney no later than 90 days after the effective date of the resolution; and
Whereas, The 90-day time requirement more appropriately relates to the determination of special counsel’s scope of work rather than adoption of the resolution; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council Resolution File Number 201573 is amended by replacing the third “Further Resolved” clause with the following:
“Further Resolved, That the special counsel shall submit his or her findings to the Common Council, Mayor, and the City Attorney no later than 90 days after the scope of work for the special counsel is agreed upon; and, be it”
