Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council Resolution File Number 200726 as amended by Resolution File Number 200995, reducing the Street Light Cost-Recovery Special Charge for 2021 to $0.
Whereas, Section 309-57 of the Code of Ordinances provides for a Street Light Cost-Recovery Special Charge as authorized by s. 66.0627, Wis. Stats.; and
Whereas, Section 309-57 of the Code requires adoption of a resolution on an annual basis that establishes the Street Light Cost-Recovery Special Charge; and
Whereas, On November 6, 2020, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 200726, establishing the 2021 annual Street Light Cost-Recovery Special Charge in accordance with s. 309-57 of the Code; and
Whereas, Common Council Resolution File 200995, adopted November 24, 2020, amended Resolution File Number 200726 by establishing the Street Light Cost-Recovery Special Charge at $1 per foot of street frontage; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council File Number 200726 adopted on November 6, 2020, as amended by Resolution File Number 200995, is amended by replacing items 1 and 2 in the “Resolved” clause with the following:
“1. Residential property: $0 per foot of street frontage - for residential property with multiple street frontage (corner lots), the shortest side shall be used for billing purposes.
2. Nonresidential property: $0 per foot of total street frontage; and, be it”
