Title

Resolution approving a sublease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and MKE Urban Stables, Inc

Analysis

This resolution approves a sublease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and MKE Urban Stables, Inc., for a portion of the Milwaukee Urban Stables facility located at 143 East Lincoln Avenue in the 14th Aldermanic District.

 

Body

Whereas, under a lease agreement approved by the adoption of Common Council Resolution File Number 180599, the City of Milwaukee (“City”) leases the land and stable improvements located at 143 East Lincoln Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (“Lease”); and

 

Whereas, the Lease contemplates the City subleasing a portion of the land and stable improvements to an entity to carry out equine assisted therapy, community programming, and educational programming, and other related uses; and

 

Whereas, the City has negotiated a sublease with MKE Urban Stables, Inc., attached hereto, the contents of which have been approved by the Office of the City Attorney; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the sublease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and MKE Urban Stables, Inc., substantially in the form attached to this file is hereby approved; and be it

 

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials authorized and directed to enter into such sublease agreement on behalf of the City; and be it

 

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials, in consultation with the City Attorney's office, are authorized to make non-substantive changes to the sublease, without further Common Council action as necessary to achieve the intent of the City's action.
