A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2021 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Common Council - City Clerk, Employes’ Retirement System, Library, Department of Public Works (Infrastructure Services Division, Sewer Maintenance Fund)

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 21, 2020 - October 3, 2020):

 

Under Pay Range 1CX, delete the title of “City Channel Manager”.

 

Under Pay Range 1DX, add the title of “City Channel Manager (7)(14)”, add new footnotes “(7)” and “(14)” to read as follows, and renumber footnotes accordingly:

                     

“(7)                      Recruitment is at following rate with recruitment at any point in the range with DER approval:

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 2021 - May 30, 2021):

 

Under Pay Range 2BN, delete the title of “Library Services Assistant (4) (8)”.

 

Under Pay Range 2CN, delete the title of “Library Technician IV (7) (14)”, delete the title of “Branch Library Services Assistant (7) (14)”, add the title of “Library Copy Cataloging Specialist (8) (9) (17) (18)”, add new footnotes “(8)”, “(9)”, “(17)”, and “(18)” to read as follows, and renumber footnotes accordingly:

Under Pay Range 3BN, delete the title of “Television Production Specialist I”.

 

Under Pay Range 3MN, add the title of “City Channel Production Specialist (5)(10)”, add new footnotes  “(5)” and “(10)” to read as follows, and renumber footnotes accordingly:

Under Pay Range 6CN, delete the title of “Library Technician I”.

 

Under Pay Range 6EN, delete the titles of “Library Circulation Assistant I” and “Library Technician II (1) (2)”.

 

Under Pay Range 6FN, delete the titles of “Audio Machine Technician (3) (7)”, “Library Circulation Assistant II (2) (6)”, and “Library Technician III (3) (7)”.

 

Under Pay Range 6GN, delete the title of “Copy Cataloging Technician I (2) (4)”.

 

Under Pay Range 6HN, delete the titles of “Copy Cataloging Technician II (2) (6)” and “Library Circulation Assistant III (2) (6)”.

 

Part 8.  Part 1, Section 8 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 8GN, insert missing footnote “(5)” as follows and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly:

Under Pay Range 9AX, remove the highlighted text for the titles of “Temporary Public Health Strategist (2)(5)”, “Temporary Public Relations Specialist (3)(6)”, and “Temporary Testing Specimen Collector (3)(6)”.

 

Part 10.  Part 1, Section 9 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 2021 - May 30, 2021):

 

Under Pay Range 9CN, delete the titles of “Library Circulation Aide” and “Teen Outreach Intern”.

 

Under Pay Range 9MN, add the titles of “Library Circulation Aide” and “Library Teen Outreach Intern”.

 

Part 11.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 12.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2020 (June 28, 2020).

 

Part 13.  The provisions of Parts 1 and 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 21, 2020 (October 3, 2020).

 

Part 14.  The provisions of Parts 4, 6, 7, and 10 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 2021 (May 30, 2021).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 15.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
