Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works and Comptroller to execute a State Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the installation of traffic signal improvements and to fund preliminary engineering at six intersections on West Silver Spring Drive in various Aldermanic Districts. The total estimated cost of the project is $1,417,715, with a grantor share of $1,271,444, and a City share of $146,272. Whereas, Preliminary approval has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, along with a State Municipal Agreement to be executed by the City of Milwaukee, for the installation of traffic signal improvements at six intersections on West Silver Spring Drive under the 2021 Highway Safety Improvement Project program; and

Whereas, The installation of traffic signal improvements at the six intersections identified on West Silver Spring Drive at is anticipated to reduce the frequency and severity of crashes at the intersections identified; and

Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has submitted a State Municipal Agreement for execution by the City of Milwaukee for the design and construction of:
