Body
WHEREAS, Travaux Inc. (Travaux), a subsidiary of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM), solicited statements of qualifications in the year 2018 by Official Notice Number 57850 for Architectural, Engineering, and Related Services for Development Projects at Various Sites and made several awards pursuant to that solicitation; and
WHEREAS, HACM now wishes to exercise its option to “piggyback” on Travaux’s solicitation for similar services needed for HACM’s project known as RAD Conversion at Townhomes at Carver Park; and
WHEREAS, Galbraith Carnahan Architects LLC, a qualified and competent firm and one of the awardees pursuant to Travaux’s original solicitation, was asked by HACM to submit a proposal to render the services needed at this time for RAD Conversion at Townhomes at Carver Park (planning, schematic design, construction documents, bidding assistance, and construction administration) and said proposal in the amount of $259,800.00 was determined to be reasonable and acceptable; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of HACM that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the proposal of and entering into a contract with Galbraith Carnahan Architects LLC for Architectural, Engineering, and Related Services for RAD Conversion at Townhomes at Carver Park in the amount of $259,800.00, with an initial term of one (1) year, which may be extended as needed up to a total of five (5) years for completion of the project; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from Carver Park Mixed Financing; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of HACM be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of HACM; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any amendments or change orders to the contract are needed, the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such requests without any further action of the Commissioners of HACM; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Commissioners and the Secretary-Executive Director of HACM be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
