Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Public Works, Infrastructure Services Division, to apply for a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Urban Nonpoint Source & Storm Water (UNPS&SW) Program Planning Grant.
Body
Whereas, the City of Milwaukee was granted an updated General Permit to Discharge Under the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System WPDES Permit No. WI-S065404-2 by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, hereinafter referred to as the WDNR Stormwater Permit; and
Whereas, the WDNR Stormwater Permit requires the City of Milwaukee to update its existing Stormwater Management Plan; and
Whereas, the Department of Public Works desires to apply for the subject grant in the amount of $85,000 to fund the update effort; and
Whereas, the grant has a 100% matching component of $85,000 designated as the grantor share; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Public Works shall be authorized to apply for said grant.
