This resolution authorizes settlement of claims raised by the claimant, Alimatou Traore, in the ERD charge entitled Alimatou Traore v. City of Milwaukee Health Department, ERD Case No. CR201902804, cross-filed with the EEOC, EEOC Case No. 26G202000093C, for the total amount of $44,500.

Whereas, Claimant Alimatou Traore filed an ERD charge against the City of Milwaukee, ERD Case No. CR201902804 (cross-filed with the EEOC, Case No. 26G202000093C); and
Whereas, Alimatou Traore and the City of Milwaukee have entered into an agreement to settle the claims raised by her in the above-referenced matter for the total amount of $44,500; and
Whereas, the City Attorney recommends that the City of Milwaukee settle this Matter; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue the following City checks totaling $44,500 payable as follows: $18,750.00 made out to “Alimatou Traore” and $7,000.00 made out to “the Cross Law Firm” as soon as practicable, in full and final settlement of this ERD case and the cross-filed EEOC case, said checks to be delivered to the City Attorney upon his request, to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 636505, Fund No. 0001, Organization No. 1490, Program No. 2632, Sub Class No. S118; and $18,750.00 shall be paid to Ms. Traore through payroll for back pay, with regular payroll taxes withheld, to be charged to the Milwaukee Health Department’s Management and Administration, Account No. 0200; and be it
