Analysis
This substitute resolution amends the Initial Operating Plan for Neighborhood Improvement District No. 1, Brewery, and establishes the annual meeting date, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes.
Body
Whereas, A Neighborhood Improvement District (“NID”), as authorized by Section 66.1110, Wisconsin Statutes, provides a financing method to allow the Brewery neighborhood district to become self-sustaining; and

Whereas, On October 29, 2008, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted File No. 080615, which created NID No. 1, Brewery, and approved its Initial Operating Plan; and

Whereas, The Brewery neighborhood district is a vital and integral part of the City of Milwaukee (“City”) and its Initial Operating Plan establishes the annual meeting at which members of the Board will be elected; and

Whereas, That annual meeting shall be held on the third Wednesday of September each year of the District’s existence; and

Whereas, The City shall publish a Class II notice prior to the annual meeting and the notice will include the time and place of the annual meeting; and

Whereas, The Initial Operating Plan has been amended, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, which speaks to the annual meeting and describes proposed activities within the District and acts in accordance with applicable Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the amended Initial Operating Plan for NID No. 1, Brewery, is adopted; and, be it

Further Resolved, That all City officials, departments, boards and commissions are authorized and directed to take all actions and provide such assistance as needed to carry out the intent and purpose of this resolution and the amended Initia...
