Substitute resolution relative to legislative bills.

 

BODY

 

Whereas, The Judiciary and Legislation Committee of the Common Council has recommended the following positions on the bills hereinafter listed and the Common Council being advised of said matters; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it hereby approves the following legislative bills and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees to support such bills and use its best endeavors to have the same enacted into law, viz:

 

---- SB-142                                          

Relating to: waiving interest and penalties for late payment of property taxes and the timely filing requirement for claims to recover property taxes.

 

 ---- SB-165                                            

Relating to: the responsibilities of the Law Enforcement Standards Board and disclosure of employment files when recruiting former or current officers.

 

---- LRB-2062                                          

Relating to: appointment of certain lawfully present aliens as law enforcement officers.

Further Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee hereby directs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees to watch and report on the following bills:
