Body
Whereas, On June 16, 2020, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 200198, which approved the Active Streets for Businesses program; and
Whereas, On November 4, 2020, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 200859, which amended Resolution File Number 200198 by updating the program with fall and winter guidelines provided by the Department of Public Works; and
Whereas, The Active Streets for Businesses program has been instrumental in allowing businesses to function safely during the COVID-19 pandemic; and
Whereas, The Active Streets for Businesses program was previously set to expire on March 15, 2021; and
Whereas, As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many businesses continue to be reliant on the additional outdoor seating and accommodations provided by the Active Streets for Businesses program; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the Active Streets for Businesses program shall continue to be in effect, in the same form as attached to Common Council File Number 200198, until November 15, 2021.
