Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement titled “Cost Sharing Memo of Understanding Between the City of Milwaukee and the City of Greenfield” for the cost sharing of the street resurfacing projects of S. 45th St, S. 47th St., and W. Crawford Av. in the 11th Aldermanic District with a total estimated cost of the project to be $1,450,000 which the City’s share is $335,500 and the balance of to be City of Greenfield.
Body
Whereas, South 45th Street, South 47th Street and West Crawford Avenue were constructed in 1941 as rural cross section roadways and are in need of rehabilitation; and
Whereas, The projects are included in the Department of Public Works street resurface/ reconstruction Program; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and the City of Greenfield share jurisdiction ownership of the streets and will share the construction costs; and
Whereas, The City of Greenfield will be the lead agency of the project design and construction; and
Whereas, These street projects are programmed for construction in 2021; and
Whereas, the engineering for the South 45th Street, South 47th Street and West Crawford Avenue was set up in Resolution 190517, and
Whereas, Funding for the construction phase of the South 45th Street, South 47th Street and West Crawford Avenue was set up in resolution 201137, and
Now therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public works is hereby authorized to execute the project agreement titled “Cost Sharing Memo of Understanding Between the City of Milwaukee and the City of Greenfield ” for the cost sharing of the street resurfacing projects of S. 45th St, S. 47th St., and W. Crawford Av. in the 11th Aldermanic District with a copy of which is attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 201347, and is incorporated by reference as though set forth in full.
