Analysis
This resolution further amends Common Council File Number 191180, adopted on November 26, 2019, to extend the deadline for the Millennial Task Force to provide the Common Council a report of its findings and recommendations. The deadline is changed from the amended date of December 31, 2020 to June 30, 2021.

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 191180 on November 26, 2019, creating a Millennial Task Force; and

Whereas, File Number 191180 originally required the Millennial Task Force to submit a report of its findings and recommendations to the Common Council by June 30, 2020; and

Whereas, On March 23, 2020, the Commissioner of Health issued an Order imposing a city-wide “Stay-at-Home” requirement to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 under the authority of s. 252.03, Wis. Stats.; and

Whereas, Governor Tony Evers has signed a number of COVID-19 Emergencies and Executive Orders, including Executive Order #94 on November 10, 2020, advising Wisconsinites to stay home; and

Whereas, Members of the Millennial Task Force agreed on March 20, 2020 to delay further in-person meetings due to the spread of COVID-19; and

Whereas, File Number 200013 amended File Number 191180 by extending the reporting deadline for the Task Force to December 31, 2020; and

Whereas, During 2020, the Task Force has held 2 in-person meetings and 9 virtual meetings; and

Whereas, In meetings thus far, the Task Force has heard from many guest speakers, coalesced around ideas, compiled research, and crafted a number of goals and draft recommendations; and
