This resolution directs the Budget and Management Director to provide quarterly reports to the Common Council on the status of the Milwaukee Promise.

Body

Whereas, The 2021 Budget was adopted by Common Council File Number 200001 on November 24, 2020; and

Whereas, Amendment 6 to the 2021 Budget placed a footnote in the Budget stating, “The Budget and Management Director shall provide quarterly reports to the Common Council on the status of the Milwaukee Promise”; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee Promise initiative is a multifaceted City effort to address systemic poverty, joblessness, poor health, crime and low educational achievement in Milwaukee neighborhoods; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Budget and Management Director shall provide quarterly reports to the Common Council on the status of the Milwaukee Promise.
