Minutes note: The Board of Commissioners of the Fire & Police Commission held a national search, which resulted in the announcement of the top six candidates. Those six candidates were interviewed by the majority of the Board and narrowed down to the top three candidates: Malik Aziz, Chris Davis, and Hoyt Mahaley. Commissioner Everett Cocroft - Vote in favor of Malik Aziz Commissioner Fred Crouther - Vote in favor of Hoyt Mahaley Commissioner Steven DeVougas - Vote in favor of Hoyt Mahaley Commissioner Angela McKenzie - Vote in favor of Malik Aziz Commissioner Anna Wilson - Vote in favor of Hoyt Mahaley Commissioner Nelson Soler - Vote in favor of Malik Aziz Votes tied 3-3.
