Analysis

This resolution rescinds the waiver of all fees for those licenses administered by the Office of the Common Council - City Clerk created as part of the Common Council's ratification of the proclamation of Mayor Tom Barrett, issued March 19, 2020, relating to a state of emergency in the City of Milwaukee.

Whereas, On March 19, 2020, Mayor Tom Barrett issued a proclamation declaring a state of emergency in the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, On March 24, 2020, the Common Council adopted Common Council File Number 191907, which ratified the Mayor’s proclamation and added a provision waiving all fees for those licenses administered by the Office of the Common Council - City Clerk; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the license fee waiver included in the Common Council's ratification of Mayor Tom Barrett's proclamation, approved by the Common Council in File Number 191907, is rescinded as of January 4, 2021.
