Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2020 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Comptroller, Fire and Police Commission, Health Department, Police Department

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 190614 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Fire and Police Commission”, add a new section named “Office of Emergency Communication” after the “Audit” section.

 

Under “Office of Emergency Communication”, add two positions of “CAD Administrator”, add one position of “GIS Systems Administrator”, and add one position of “Project Manager”.

 

Under “Health Department, Clinical Services Division, Sexual & Reproductive Health”, add one position of “Mammography Technologist (JJ)”.

 

Under “Health Department, Community Health Division, Maternal & Child Health”, amend footnote “(N)” to read as follows:

 

“(N)                     To expire 03/31/21 unless the Newborn Hearing Screening Grant is extended. Partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.”

 

Under “Police Department”, amend footnote “(Z)” to read as follows:

 

“(Z)                     2020-21 HS-WEM/IP Intel Analyst Grant:  Position authority to expire 8/30/2021, unless the 2020-21 HS-WEM/IP Intel Analyst Grant is extended.”

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 190614 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 21, 2020 - October 4, 2020):

 

Under “Comptroller, General Accounting Division”, delete one position of “Accounting Program Assistant III” and add one position of “Accountant II”.

 

Under “Health Department, Clinical Services Division, Laboratory”, delete one position of “Public Health Deputy Laboratories Director (Y)(X)” and add two positions of “Public Health Assistant Laboratories Director (Y)(X)”.

 

Under “Community Health Division”, delete one position of “Program Assistant I (X)” and add one position of “Administrative Assistant III (X)”.

 

Under “Auxiliary COVID-19 Positions”, delete thirty-two positions of “Temporary Disease Intervention Specialist Coordinator”, add thirty positions of “Temporary Testing Specimen Collector”, and add two positions of “Temporary Delivery Driver”.

 

Part 3.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 4.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 21, 2020 (October 4, 2020).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 5.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
