Minutes note: Warren Jones, Travaux’s Vice President of Construction, informed the Board that there was only one bid and it was higher than the budgeted estimate. However, Hurt Electric Incorporated has experience and knowledge of the project and was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Gabriel DeVougas, HACM’s Section 3 Coordinator, noted that Hurt Electric Incorporated is a certified Minority Business Enterprise with the State of Wisconsin and a Section 3 business. Kevin Theissen, Travaux’s Senior Project Manager, answered Director’s questions regarding the scope of the work and the amount awarded to Hurt Electric Incorporated. WHEREAS, Travaux Inc. solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 57995 during the period July 8, 2020 through July 28, 2020 for Electrical (BC-11.1) for Remodeling at Becher Court; and

 

WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CDST) on July 28, 2020; and

 

WHEREAS,  the sealed  bid was received and publicly opened on July 28, 2020, during which the bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, Hurt Electric Inc., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $538,800.00; therefore, be it,

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. that it hereby authorizes and approves accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Hurt Electric Inc. for Electrical (BC-11.1) for Remodeling at Becher Court; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from Becher Court Mixed-Financing; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed the officers of Travaux Inc. may approve such request without any further action of the Board of Directors Travaux Inc.; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. and the officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
