Analysis

This ordinance authorizes the election commission executive director to appoint a deputy director.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 302-3-1.5 of the code is created to read:

 

302-3.  Board of Election Commissioners. 

 

1.5.  DEPUTY DIRECTOR.  The executive director may appoint a deputy who shall be responsible for the acts of the executive director. The deputy, after taking the oath of office required to be taken by the executive director, may perform all the duties imposed by law or the ordinances of the city on the executive director, and shall likewise be subject to the same liabilities and penalties.
