Resolution relative to acceptance and subsequent expenditure of contributions received by the Milwaukee Fire Department for the efforts related to the response to COVID-19 in our community.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Fire Department to accept and expend contributions received for the efforts related to the response to COVID-19 in our community.
Body
Whereas, the contributions will enable the Fire Department to coordinate and implement efforts related to the response to COVID-19 in the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The Fire Department anticipates receiving $20,000 from various organizations and/or foundations for the efforts related to the response to COVID-19; now therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Fire Department is authorized to accept $20,000 of contributions for the efforts related to the response to COVID-19 in our community and to expend such funds for this purpose or any purpose specified by the contributor, no more than the amount actually received, in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon the receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the Fire Department’s budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Special Purpose Account for Contribution, 0001-2110-0001-006000, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-009850, to the Fire Department’s Special Account, 0001-3280-006000-DXXX and the Fire Department’s Estimated Revenue Account, 0001-3280-0001-009850, up to the amount of $20,000.
