This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Health to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between the Health Department and Trilogy Health Insurance.
Body
Whereas, Trilogy Health Insurance (Trilogy) manages the overall health care of persons receiving benefits through Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus, and administers these benefits; and
Whereas, Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus require a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) and Trilogy recognizing that MHD and Trilogy have clients in common and agree to cooperate in removing access barriers, coordinating care and providing culturally competent services; and
Whereas, The intent of this MOU is to authorize MHD to provide health care services to persons receiving benefits through Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus, and to qualify MHD for reimbursements for Covered Services provided to persons receiving benefits through Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Health is authorized to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between the Health Department and Trilogy Health Insurance, copies of which are attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 200437, and are incorporated into this resolution by reference as though set forth in full.
