Analysis
This resolution authorizes an easement for below ground gas equipment within a City Right of Way.
Body
Whereas, Wisconsin Gas LLC, doing business as We Energies, is requesting a twelve foot wide by sixty foot long permanent easement (“Easement”) within the City Right of Way and under the Kinnickinnic River Bike Trail; and
Whereas, The Easement will facilitate upgraded service requested by We Energies for gas distribution to the new Komatsu Mining Corp. manufacturing facility being constructed on the Former Solvay Coke site located at 311 East Greenfield Avenue; and
Whereas, A copy of the Easement and related map is attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, We Energies agrees to pay $1,000 for the easement; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development and the Department of Public Works have reviewed the easement and recommend approval; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the easement with Wisconsin Electric Power Company within the City Right of Way under the Kinnickinnic River Bike Trail is approved and that the proper City of Milwaukee officials are authorized to execute the easement.
