Travaux’s elevator consultant has reviewed the bids to ensure the bid does not use proprietary equipment. Directors made suggestions about areas of the contract that staff should look at carefully and also requested an organization-wide synopsis of the effects of the pandemic on costs and Travaux’s ability to provide its product both currently and in the future. WHEREAS, Travaux Inc. solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 57986 during the period May 20, 2020 through June 19, 2020 for Elevator Modernization (HT-25.1) for Remodeling at Holton Terrace; and

WHEREAS, four sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CDST) on June 19, 2020; and

WHEREAS,  the sealed  bids were received and publicly opened on June 19, 2020, during which bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, Schindler Elevator Corp., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $556,070.00; therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Schindler Elevator Corp. for Elevator Modernization (HT-25.1) for Remodeling at Holton Terrace; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from Holton Terrace LLC; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the officers of Travaux Inc. may approve such request without any further action of the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc.; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Board of Directors of Travaux Inc. be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
