Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the 2020 Stop COVID-19: Rapid Co-design of culturally relevant communications for vulnerable communities grant from Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment in the amount of $500,000 with a grantor share of (100%) and no city match. The purpose of the grant is reduce the spread, morbidity and mortality of COVID-19 in communities of color adversely impacted by the virus in Milwaukee County with culturally responsive messaging, micro-campaigns with trusted influencer/thought leaders, and multi-lingual/multi-cultural community health worker remote psycho-social support.

Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment to provide COVID-19 response efforts; and

Whereas, The continued operation of this grant program from 04.10.2020 to 10.10.2020 would cost $500,000 comprised of $500,000 (100%) grantor share with no city match; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application of this grant from Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent of the 2020 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the program titled Advancing Healthier Wisconsin Endowment, Stop COVID-19:
