Body
Whereas, On January 4th, 1979, the City of Milwaukee was granted Water Easement WE-472, for access and maintenance of a 6-inch water main, located in the North 20 feet of vacated West Rogers Street from South 1st Street to 230 feet West of the South 1st Street, in the Northeast One-quarter (NE ¼) of the Southeast One-quarter (SE ¼) of Section Five (5), Township Six (6) North, Range Twenty-two (22) East, in the 14th Aldermanic District, by Raitt Corporation; and
Whereas, Michels Corporation (Owner) desires to develop the lands within the current water easement area on WE-472; and
Whereas, the water main constructed within the current water easement area of WE-472 will be abandoned as part of the land development; and
Whereas, Easement WE-472 is no longer required for future public water purposes and does not serve the interest of the City of Milwaukee and should be released; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said Water Easement Release document, a copy of which has been made part of this file, is hereby accepted, and the proper City officials, including the Commissioner of Public Works, are hereby authorized to execute same of City’s behalf and to cause same to be recorded in the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds Office.
