Title

Resolution approving an award of contract to KPH Environmental Corporation (Milwaukee, WI) for Hazardous Materials Abatement Services at Various Subsidized Housing Sites in an amount not-to-exceed $300,000.00 (Official Notice Number 57950)

 

Analysis

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 57950 during the period January 17, 2020 through February 7, 2020 for Hazardous Materials Abatement Services at Various Subsidized Housing Sites ; and

 

WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CST) on February 7, 2020; and

 

WHEREAS,  the sealed  bid was received and publicly opened on February 7, 2020, during which bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

 

WHEREAS, KPH Environmental Corp., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid of various hourly rates with a basis of award of $79.24 per hour; and

 

WHEREAS, Authority staff estimates services on an as needed basis of $300,000.00 based on previous years’ expenditures; therefore, be it,

 

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with KPH Environmental Corp. for Hazardous Materials Abatement Services at Various Subsidized Housing Sites in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from various sources as needed; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Authority; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Authority; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Commissioners and the Secretary Executive Director of the Authority be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
