Whereas, An application was submitted by Fannie Smith on behalf of the Historic First Street Ad Hoc Committee on February 5, 2020; and

Whereas, MKE Plays staff and the local alderwoman have been involved in this process; and

Whereas, The Citizen Advisory Committee on the Naming of Public Buildings, Facilities and Streets met on July 8, 2020 and voted six (6) ayes and one (1) excused  to recommend approval of this naming; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that assigning the park name "Marlene Johnson-Odom Children’s Park" to a currently unnamed neighborhood park located at 2470-2478 North 1st St. is approved
