This resolution directs the Office of the City Clerk and the Department of City Development to collaborate to develop a program to include yard signs in marketing efforts to sell City-owned residential properties, and present this plan to the Common Council by March 31, 2020.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council approved the inclusion of a footnote in the 2020 Adopted City Budget, directing the Office of the City Clerk and the Department of City Development to collaborate to develop a program to include yard signs in marketing efforts to sell city-owned residential properties to nearby neighbors; and

Whereas, Placing “for sale” signs in the front yards of City-owned residential properties the City is marketing will help local residents and other interested parties identify properties the City is seeking to sell, and increase property sales; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Office of the City Clerk and the Department of City Development are directed to collaborate to develop a program to include yard signs in marketing efforts to sell City-owned residential properties; and, be it

Further Resolved, This program shall be presented to the Common Council by March 31, 2020.
